“With the slogan “Helping to rebuild our Jersey Shore,” Heritage Custom Builder of Ship Bottom broke ground in early September on an expansion – to be an attractive and “considerably larger” space – on a lot on Ninth Street, between the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce office and Ron Jon Surf Shop, almost directly across the street from the original location, which opened in 2007.
Vice President Chris Heins said the expansion, though already in the works prior to October of last year, will enable the company to accommodate additional business and workload as a result of Superstorm Sandy. “We do have a full schedule of jobs,” Heins said, with ample manpower to handle it – a 25-person staff, and a subcontractor base of 100-plus – and spots open to accommodate additional new customers. Heins’ business partner is the company’s founding president, Darin Smith.”
